"Don't worry. I'd never come in swim trunks. I was thinking a banana suit or something casual like that," Vann joked, hoping she wasn't going to take that seriously. "Just kidding," he added, just in case.
He planned on wearing a tie and maybe a suit-vest-thing with a t-shirt underneath or something like that. Maybe dress pants if she was lucky enough to see that out of him. He wondered if Autumn was going to dress up all frilly and pretty, not that she wasn't already pretty, like the other girls. She would probably end up looking amazing that way. Her outfits and things always looked well put together, but the thought of her in a fancy dress made him practically melt.
A real date. Vann liked that thought. Maybe, if this went well, he'd even win himself another date. Then again, maybe he was getting ahead of himself now. He didn't want to think to far ahead. Living in the present was best.
"Oh, excuse me then. What I meant to say is that I think we're going to be the best of date-people."
Vann laughed at how stupid he just sounded. He was good at sounding stupid around her. Maybe it was a new found talent.

Autumn couldn't help laughing at his reply, covering her mouth to hide the bites of food in her mouth. It wasn't lady like to show off the gunk in your mouth, and, even if she wasn't too big on manners, she did want to look nice in front of Vann. "You wear that and we'll be dancing outside in the court yard," she giggled, shaking her head at him. The playfulness of their conversation was fun for her, and she already liked where it was going.
She picked out another chip from the bag, nibbling at it while the image of her dress popped into her mind. The girls had gone shopping awhile go, and she'd found the absolute perfect dress. She wanted to keep it a secret until the actual night of the dance, though. It'd be fun to watch everyone's eyes pop as she walked into a room. Definitely something every girl dreamed of.
Shoving the thoughts of glitz and glamour away, Autumn found herself giggling at him yet again. "Now that I agree with," she smiled brightly, "Even if it does make you sound a little stupid." A small smirk toyed with her lips as she looked up at him, eyes sparkling with amusement. TAG: Vann :D WORDS: 220! NOTES: <3 <3 <3

Vann was loving the fact that Autumn was laughing at his stupidity. He didn't feel dumb at all, and he enjoyed making other people laugh. Plus, he face seemed to light up when she smiled. Her making fun of him didn't bother him at all. He knew it was all in good fun, and he knew how to take things. It was a nice attribute to have on his part. It made it so he didn't get over-emotional about silly, harmless jokes like some people did. Going with the flow was too fun to pass up.
With how well this conversation was going, Vann was beginning to regret not talking to her while they lived so close. Even if it wasn't the best idea to get people involved with his crappy home life, Autumn might have been the relief from it all while they were still back there. Of course, he had no idea up until this point.
"Want to hear a secret?" Vann smirked and widened his eyes as if he was going to tell her something juicy and his hid a chuckle behind his lips but it was obvious one was coming.

Her entire life Autumn had dreamed of doing this with Vann. Talking, teasing, laughing. Being friends. Now that it, and possibly something more, were happening, she couldn't believe it. And it was occuring so... naturally. They both seemed to be having fun, a task many young couples struggle with when first meeting. Times like these were usually filled with butterflies and worrying about how to reply to a simple statement. While she did have butterflies, they weren't from nerves. They were from excitement.
"Depends on what you mean by secret," she answered slowly, raising an eyebrow at him. Guys telling you secrets could go two different ways, one of which wasn't too great. Autumn doubted Vann would tell her anything too grotesque, though, so she sighed, "Alright. What is this big secret?" True, she was slightly curious and that was probably why she asked him. Besides, it was actually a rare occasion when a guy told her anything. Even if that guy was Vann. TAG: Vann :D WORDS: 171! NOTES: Sorry that took so long!
