Delilah sighed mentally as she drank her chocolate shake. It was quite a tall cup that the shake was placed in, and who know where they got their bendy straws! They probably had to specially order them or make them, because this was definitly the largest straw she had seen in her whole life. This brought back a childhood memory of when you had one of those funky straws when you were little and you always wanted to drink out of those straws, but then you forget about it. Those straws were cool, and life was so much easier then. Now, some girl needs a cell phone and a car for her birthday, but when she was little, she probably got some funky straw, some bubbles and Doctor Barbie. Nope, won't even do with the little kids nowdays. They want some fancy Barbie Palace or Barbies Pet Shop with all little kinds of plastic animals.
Kids these days were just getting snobbier and more needy with the technology that keeps improving. Oh well though, thats how the world has been working, and she doubted it was going to change anytime soon. If only... Yes, if only certain things would happen this world would be great, but people are needy, greedy and spoiled. Even though Delilah felt this way a bit she wasn't sure how she would do without the technology or certain foods. Shakes, shakes are amazing. She stopped drinking it to look at the beauty of it. Nope, she wouldn't want to do without shakes. As she looked at it, maybe two inches of it had been gone. She had a long way to go.
Delilah glanced at the clock that was hung up on the wall, it was six- seventeen. Maybe after this shake she would get a chocolate banana shake.. It had been a long week for her and she was happy to get it over with. Tomarrow was Sunday, the start of a new week. And she intended on having at least a semi - good night tonight so maybe she would have a better week. Homecoming was coming up in exactly a week too, she wasn't too fond of many of the students at Leirner. She barely knew anyone, yet had met so many people. She hadn't really manage to continue on friendships to what they could be. She had spoken to at least fifteen people and carried on a small conversation but she never went back up to them again and they haven't gone back up to her. This year, she had a feeling was going to be a quiet year for her.
