WEAKNESSES:
- While she is powerful, she also has an alarming temper and very little control, which together make her a terrible force to be messed with .

- Water, water is her greatest enemy, and she has no fondness for it, she hates swimming to the point she can't swim, and hates the rain .

SECRETS: She has harmed people through her powers. She also can not swim, and has quite a strong dislike of water .
PERSONALITY: Intelligent - Matty is sharp, she spends a great deal of her time in her room or the library studying, determined to maintain fantastic grades, she has no idea what she could do with her future, but she wants her options to be open to her to do as she wants to. She retain's information fairly well, even better if it's something she's utterly passionate about .
Sweet - She's got a serious public persona going on, one of this sweet, studious young girl. She really is a sweet person as long as you are on her good side, she's a loving and sensitive person, she struggles with being good and not harming people, and the few times she has harmed people were completely accidental, so all in all, she really does mean well and try her hardest to be that person so many people at the school see her as .
Temperamental - Now, her temper is one that should be feared, because when she gets angry... she get's really angry, and often looses control, fires are started and spread and it's an all together extraordinarily dangerous situation. You really do not want her made at you, because there is a good chance you won't make it out alive, or at the very least uninjured. And she does have a temper, the worst thing for people to do include, calling her a freak or tormenting her, bothering her family members, or causing harm to anyone she cares about. Because she is protective of her loved ones, and really will not hold back if she believes she's protecting them.
Determined - Stubborn might as well be Matty's middle name, because once she's set her mind to something, there is absolutely no chance of ever changing her mind. Even bribery will fail out over her iron will. It has made her the amazing student that she is, because with her determination, even if she doesn't get something, she won't give up until she figures it out for herself. But she's not the kind of stubborn person who refuses to ask for help, if need be, she will ask for help, but usually only as an absolute last resort.
Passionate - It goes along with her controlling fire perhaps, but she is a passionate person, whether it be in love or in life. She's got the fire that makes great dancers, and that spark that makes a great warrior, both of which are good things for her, since she dances and does martial arts, what's even better is she is passionate about both things, which is a good thing. Since her passion for them is one of the things that holds back her temper... at least a little bit. That passion is what also makes her far more dangerous when she actually looses her temper.

HISTORY: Marissa Mattea Morison was born the third child into the Morison family, but her story hardly begins with her. Her parents were gifted with powers, and that bond was what brought them together in the beginning, until they eventually fell in love and married. They had their first child a few years after marriage, and then three years later they had their second, and third child. First was Abigail, who turned out ordinary, the only normal child in their family, then was Marissa, a fussy and temperamental being even as a baby. She was hard to deal with as a young child, crying over simple things and throwing fits. It got particularly bad when she first came into her powers, she was seven at the time, Matty had been doing something with her big brother [who she adored and followed about like a puppy] when he was teasing her, eventually, as usual, she lost her temper and clenched her fists. Her parent's had lit candles for decorative purposes since it was around the holidays, and when she clenched her fists that time, the flames burst forward, erupting and growing in size and strength. They caused the glass bulbs surrounding the candles to erupt abruptly, and the shattered glass acted as shrapnel and shot across the room, if it wasn't for Nate's quick actions Marissa might have gone blind, he knocked her out of the way, so she only got hit by a little of the glass, which sliced neatly along her left eyebrow.
That was and would be the first of many such incidents, after her parent's figured out what happened and explained to her what was happening to her, and how she could absolutely not tell her sister, they began working on teaching her control, and how to control her temper. Eventually they signed her up for dance lessons, as well as martial arts lessons, hoping the outlets would be enough to at least keep her powers under a semblance of control. The year she and Abigail turned nine, their mother surprised the three children with the fact she was pregnant and would shortly be having a forth child. A nine year difference between the current youngest, and the soon to be youngest. It was the year after that when the incident that still plagues Marissa eight years later, occurred, she was at school. She and another student where in the science lab together during a class, they were running an experiment that involved the use of the gas runners and the Bunsen burners. One of the other students, who teased her on a regular basis was teasing her, pushing her buttons by mocking her and her partner, a friend of her's, tormenting them. It took only a few moments, before her temper snapped and the flame on the Bunsen burner, that was between her partner and the guy who was standing in front of their table, exploded into a full out fire, which harmed both of the two standing there. It was later blamed on a gas leak in the room getting too close to the Bunsen Burner.
As she got older she got more careful with her powers, doing her best not to loose her temper, no matter how difficult it got. Luckily, when she was in her teens, she was able to begin school at Zeger Academy, she had to attend a different school than her sister, but it was the chance to finally gain control. Marissa has spent the last three years of her schooling studying hard, getting straight great grades, and fighting for control. But now with the school's combining she's not sure she's gonna be able to gain control as well. And it's going to be a struggle to continue to hide the powers from her twin sister and the general public.

Was it really so little time that had passed? Al-Iskandriyya didn't really know anymore. It sure didn't feel as if only a little time had passed. After the last time she'd spoken with her dearest friend, she'd finally worked up the nerve to do as she'd dreamed. She'd left, left the tiny town and it's cage like feeling behind. But she was already back, back from England, from Scotland and Ireland, she'd even seen part of Prague. The reason she'd come back and was currently standing in the graveyard once more? Her father... her father had died, she didn't think that was fair, he was supposed to outlive her, not worry about her because for the first time... for the first time in a really long time, she'd felt free. Kneeling at the grave, Graves nudging her with his cold nose she realized she felt older. So much older, why she felt older? She couldn't be sure, maybe it was gaining some life experience, maybe it came from the feeling like she'd betrayed her father by leaving him... and he'd died.
Gazing at the headstone that stood next to her mothers', she traced the new lettering that spelt out his name as well as the words beloved husband and father, honored cop. Dead... she'd faced death many times, when her mother had died, when she found out she'd been given the genetic curse that had killed her mother... but loosing her father, who'd never been sick, who'd been the epitaph of health and wellbeing, that was like a kick to the gut. Standing she gazed at the twin headstones, with their matching flowers, white roses, she toyed with her hair. It was short now, she'd sliced it all off, and it hung just short of her chin, the short look making her appear older for once in her life. But it wasn't just the hair that made her look different. She was paler than she'd been before, rings darker under her eyes, exhaustion evident in her features, a slimmer frame too. Despite all this, her eyes were vibrant, filled with a life she'd lacked before leaving. Speaking lowly, she apologized to her daddy, for all the grief she'd put him through and for leaving him alone.
Allie wasn't sure what to do anymore... the thing she'd been so desperate to escape in her childishness behavior was gone. Nothing was keeping her here, she'd already been by her home, it was her's now... completely in her name... but it didn't feel like a home. She would sell it, there was no doubt about that, to her the house felt as if all the life had been sucked out of it. There were no longer lingering after images of her mother dancing and singing in the kitchen, of playing with her as they cooked and cleaned, while her father fixed a broken object or read the newspaper. All those memories felt like they'd faded in her absence and in her father's death. After that though... after that she had no idea what she'd do. Continue traveling perhaps, she was still dying, that was the one thing that hadn't changed. Perhaps... perhaps when she died, she'd make sure Graves was sent to Alex, he'd take good care of her only remaining family. Alex, she'd left without saying goodbye, good byes were always painful, and she hadn't contacted him, not when she left, not while she was gone, and not since she'd gotten back. She wasn't entirely sure if she would either. Maybe it was best to sell the house and slip back out of town. A cold wind blew and she wrapped her sweater about her more tightly, watching the leaves as they danced on the breeze, Graves standing solemnly next to her as if he could sense that this wasn't the time for play.
